Dürr Bearings Painting Line (2007) Process Description: The line is composed of a pre-treatment area with 5 different cleaning and rinsing vessels (capacity of degreasing vessel 5500 lt, other vessels capacity 4500 lt each). Once pre-treatment is completed, the bearings go through a drying process and then to the spray painting booth where a water-based primer is applied. The bearings move now in the drying zone and subsequently in the flash-off zone. Once the drying process is completed the product is transferred to the top-coat painting booth where a water-based paint is applied. The bearings are now moved into the IR drying ovens and then in a hot air drying zone. Final step is the bearings cooling process in a cooling chamber. The line includes a reverse osmosis system and also the transport, loading and unloading conveyor system.
