HYSCAN 11 model QRP Hydrogen in Aluminium analyser; serial number 844; 240 volt; (for measurement of hydrogen in the melt). Mounted on rigid steel frame with castors. Vacuum system, pump, Pirani gauge, solenoid valves, sample chamber (maintained at constant 120 degree). Control panel. A constant mass of the melt (approx 100g) is placed in chamber and the pressure reduced by vacuum pump. Sample solidifies and as it cools hydrogen is released and measured.
